Nassarawa Eggon (Nasarawa State) -Mr Abel Bala, member representing Nassarawa Eggon West Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has reassured the people of his constituency of better days ahead, promising to improve on their standard of living.
Bala gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen in Nassarawa Eggon on Friday in commemoration of Nigeria at 60 and Nasarawa at 24.
He said that the success story of his stewardship in the last one year especially in the area of peace promotion, among other developmental policies and programmes, were as a result of the cooperation given to him by the people of his constituency.
He, therefore, called for the sustenance of cooperation by the people in his constituency.
The Minority Whip of the House and also the Chairman, Committee on House Welfare appreciated his people for the support given to him and the government of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
He assured them of more inclusive and purposeful leadership.
“I want to appreciate my constituents for giving me the much needed support and cooperation in the last one year and I want to urge them to sustain the tempo.
“As I always said, my people will not regret voting me and I want to assure them that they will continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy from me.
“I will continue to engage in positive policies and programmes that will improve on the standard of living of my constituents in both effective legislation, constituency programmes and peace building.”
Bala commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu as well as Gov. Abdullahi Sule for citing Police Mobile Training College, Ende hills, in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area.
He added that the presence of the training college would curtail the rate of kidnapping and other criminal activities on Lafia/Nasarawa, Eggon/Akwanga, and Abuja road as well as improve on other security measures in the area.
The Assemblyman also appreciated Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly for providing purposeful leadership.
He added that the achievements recorded in the House and the state at large came as a result of inclusive leadership and good working relationship between the state Assembly and the executive arm.
He urged the people of his constituency and the state to support Gov. Sule’s administration to succeed to enable them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The minority whip further urged the people of the area and other parts of the state to live in peace, be law abiding and tolerate one another irrespective of their cultural and religious persuasions for development to thrive. (NAN)
