Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Friday announced the confirmation of 126 new cases of COVID-19.
The announcement made via twitter handle account of the health agency also stated that Lagos State recorded 62 fresh infections; Rivers 22; Ogun 9; Plateau and FCT 7 each.
Others are Osun, Kwara and Taraba-3 each, Bayelsa and Abia-2; Zamfara and imo-1 each.
The fresh cases reported on Friday brought the total confirmed cases to 59,127 out of which 50,593 patients have discharged.
The agency noted with dismay that 1,112 deaths have been recorded since the index case of February 27, 2020.
