Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The health agency which disclosed this via it’s twitter handle account said that the fresh infections were recorded from eight states including the FCT as follows:
Lagos-49
FCT-30
Rivers-11
Plateau-10
Ogun-4
Kaduna-3
Oyo-3
Osun-1
The report further revealed that this brought total confirmed cases to 62,964 out of which 58,790 had been treated, recovered and discharged across the various isolation centres in Nigeria.
The NCDC noted that 1,146 lives had been lost to COVID-19 related complications since the index case in late February in the country.
