detained in Bangui earlier on Tuesday.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, said on Wednesday in New York, that a staff member was detained for some time on Tuesday morning in Bangui, but she’s safely released and we are obviously very pleased,’’ he said.
The peacekeeping mission, known as MINUSCA, said earlier on Tuesday that the woman had been kidnapped by armed men. (Reuters/NAN)
