COVID-19: Lagos accounts for 142 Patients as NCDC Confirms 236 new cases in Nigeria

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The latest COVID-19 report from Nigeria has it that Lagos State – the epicentre of the novel virus infection accounted for 142 patients out the 236 new cases confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Wednesday.

According to the report released by the health agency via it’s twitter handle, other states where infections were recorded are;
Ogun-19
Kaduna-15
FCT-14
Imo-14
Rivers-14
Plateau-6
Katsina-3
Ekiti-2
Jigawa-2
Oyo-2
Cross River-1
Kano-1
Taraba-1

The report further informed that the total confirmed cases has now risen to 65,693 out of which 61,457 have been discharged.

The NCDC also added that 1,163 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria since the index case was reported early this year.
