Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Wednesday said it has confirmed 1,138 fresh infections and have so far discharged a total of 108,657 patients since the index case was reported in February 27, 2020 in the country.
The new confirmed cases brought the total confirmed cases to 134,690 across the 36 states of the federation including the FCT, the health agency further stated in its report released via it’s twitter handle account.
The NCDC also informed that the newly confirmed infections were recorded from these underlisted states:
Lagos-377; FCT-172; Plateau-86; Kano-84
Edo-60; Osun-47; Nasarawa-41; Imo-40;
Rivers-36; Niger and Oyo-32 each; Borno-29.
Other states where infections were recorded are: Kaduna-27; Delta-18; Kwara-17; Cross River-9; Ekiti-8; Bauchi and Ogun-7 each;
Sokoto-6 and Bayelsa-3.
The health agency regrettably announced that 1,618 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related complications since the index case in the country.
