Bisiriyu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos that by so doing the other boxing associations in the nation could attract the much needed corporate sponsorship.
The coach, who spoke against the backdrop of the monthly boxing competition in Lagos, said that the competition had brought fame to the boxers and the coaches.
“This is the 61th edition of the LSBA monthly competition it has made our boxers and coaches to be known.
“Most of the boxers that have been representing the country in international events are our products.
“With constant training in readiness for the monthly competition the boxers, who were formally naive, have perfected their act, ” he said.
He told NAN that their programme had attracted quite an array of corporate organisations because of the reputation garnered over the years.
He therefore urged other states’ boxing association to emulate the monthly competition in order to improve on the commercial value of their boxers. (NAN)
