The 10 African leaders have been chosen to spearhead reforms of the UN Security by the African Union (AU), Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba told the newsmen in Lusaka.
According to him, the reforms are expected to culminate in a permanent seat for Africa in the UN Security Council which has powers to veto decisions passed by the UN Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Zambian minister is praying that the postponement of elections in Nigeria would result in that country holding peaceful polls.
Nigeria’s election commission has postponed the Feb. 14 presidential election by six weeks because troops needed to protect polling stations were being deployed to fight Boko Haram.
