Itsekiri leader, Chief Isaac Jemide, dies

The Oshodi of Warri Kingdom and one of the oldest chiefs of Warri Kingdom, Isaac Jemide, is dead.

He reportedly died around 10 am on, Sunday.

He was one of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thought (ILOT), a lawyer and former commissioner representing Delta State on the board of the now-defunct Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission (OMPADEC).

A statement signed by the secretary of the Warri Council of Chiefs, Chief Eugene Ikomi, expressed sadness over his passage.

“It’s another sad day for the Council. We received with deep shock the sudden passing of our amiable Chief Isaac Jemide (Ikeri),” parts of the statement read.

The statement also condoled with the family of the deceased.

Recall that one other old Chief, Dr. Charles Ikomi, the Ero of Warri kingdom, had died on September 16.
