The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Funminiyi Afuye, felicitating with residents on the celebration of 2021 Christmas, says Christian faithful in the state should seize the opportunity to pray for Ekiti and the entire nation.
The speaker stated this on Saturday in his congratulatory message to Ekiti people, particularly the Christian faithful, which was made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti.Afuye said, “No other time to pray for our dear state than now when we are in the process of transition of power.”
The speaker commended Gov. Kayode Fayemi for putting smiles on the faces of Ekiti people by paying the gratuities of retirees and workers’ salary before Christmas.“It is commendable that Gov.
Kayode Fayemi has kept all the promises he made to the people.“To whom much is given, much is also expected. Therefore, I enjoin workers in the state to cooperate with the government in achieving the best for our state,” the speaker said.
