This is contained in the bulletin of the university released on Monday in Lagos.

The bulletin said the call was necessary because the authorities of the university had observed that some members of staff and students had been in the habit of violating stipulated security rules and regulations.

It said that due to the development, the authorities had decided that all student organisations should seek and obtain approval before organising extra-curricular activities within the university premises.

“Such approval must go through the Dean of Students Affairs and communicated to the Acting Chief Security officer to allow necessary action on his part,” it said.

The authorities also said that all religious activities should be confined to the church and mosque.
According to the authorities, indiscriminate pasting of posters and handbills on walls and structures is not allowed. (NAN)
