This is contained in statement by Mr Olawale Rasheed, the Special Assistant on Media to the coordinator and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri.
The statement said that the effort was toward the total victory of PDP in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
Alhaji Mohammed Wakil is also the Minister of State for Power as well as PDP leader in the state.
“The reconciliation became fruitful after days of consultations and interactions held at various locations in Maiduguri, the state capital in the last one week,” it said.
The statement added that Wakil also resolved the feud between the state executive members and local government leaders of the party.
“We have had internal bickerings in the past but I want to thank all of you who sacrificed your time, energy and resources to iron out our differences.
“This is for the common and collective interest of our great party.
“We all now know that in unity we can secure the presidency, the governorship and all other elective offices.
“Victory is certain for PDP, I assure that all members our great party will be carried along, irrespective of tribe, religion or ethnic considerations,” it said.
It said Wakil called on party supporters who had yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the state to do so to exercise their franchise. (NAN)
