YENAGOA (Sundiata Post) – All is now set for the 8th Annual Public Lecture of the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council.
The theme of the lecture is: Ensuring Free & Fair Elections in the Face of Security Challenges.
The lecture will hold at the Matho Crystal Hotel, Imiringi Road, Yenagoa on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11.00am.
The guest lecturer is the Director of the Institute of Niger Delta Studies, Niger Delta University (NDU), Prof. Solomon Ebobara.
The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo will chair the occasion.
The chairman of the lecture organizing committee, Comrade Samuel Ese, urged leaders of political parties in the state, NGOs and members of the public to attend the event due the importance of the issues to be raised at the lecture.
He described the theme of the lecture as apt considering the level of insecurity in the nation leading up to the 2023 general elections.
He thanked the Prosperity Government of Governor Douye Diri and Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria among others for their support towards a successful lecture.
