Kano Pillars defeated Samba FC 3-2 in a friendly match played at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday having overcoming last Thursday’s armed robbery attack which left five injured from gun shots.
A goal each from Ubong Ekpai, Christian Obiozor and Rabiu Ali helped the reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions stun their local rivals in the five-goal thriller. Pillars grabbed their vital lead through Ekpai in the 38th minute ending the first half 1-0.
