ABUJA – A Magistrates’ Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, on Wednesday, sentenced one Marcus Joseph,28, an applicant, to six months imprisonment for stealing a cell phone and a laptop valued at N200,000.

Senior Magistrate Aliyu Shaffa, sentenced Joseph after he pleaded guilty.
Shaffa did not give the convict an option of fine.
He also ordered the convict to pay N200,000 to the nominal complainant.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Cpl. Umar Ango, had told the court that one Sunday Emmanuel, of Jabi, Abuja, reported the matter at the Wuse Police Station on March 13.
Ango said that the convict trespassed into Emmanuel’s compound and broke into the bed room.
He said that the convict gained access to the sitting room and stole a laptop and samsung galaxy phone.
The prosecutor said the stolen items were valued at N200,000.

He said that Joseph admitted committing the offence during police investigation.(NAN)
