Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Management of National Assembly on Thursday announced the restriction of access at all the Assembly Complex gates.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary, Human Resources and Staff Development, Barr.B.S.Maina, a copy of which is made available to Sundiata Post, reads in full:
At a meeting of CNA with Senate Adhoc Comittee on Internal Security together with all security agencies at NASS decisions were taken. One of the major decisions taken was to restrict access at all NASS Complex Gates from Thursday 12 Oct 23. To formalise that, SHR released a Circular as follows:
DCNA
All Secretaries
All Heads of Department
Chairman PASAN NASS
Chairman NASSLAF and
All Staff.
DISPLAY OF STAFF IDENTITY CARDS.
This is to convey to all staff of the National Assembly, that From today Thursday, October, 12/10/ 2023 all staff are expected to display their ID Cards in order to have access into the NASS complex.
Anyone who refuses to comply with this directive, will not be allowed any access into the National Assembly and may face disciplinary action.
All Heads of Directorates are expected to bring this notice to the knowledge of staff in their respective Directorates.

This is presented here for strict enforcement and compliance. Security agencies heads are requested to relay same to their staff for enforcement.
A monitoring team set up by the CNA at the meeting will go round the Complex to monitor compliance. Any security staff found negligent is to be sanctioned amd record of same presented to the CNA through the SAA.
