Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Human Rights Actovist, Comrade Shehu Sani have condemned the gruesome killing of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, who was assassinated in Abuja by her kidnappers.
In his reaction on Sunday, Atiku stated that Nabeeha’s murder demonstrated the impunity with which kidnappers and bandits were operating in Nigeria.
To prevent criminal elements from operating freely and to ensure the safety of people and property, he called for a revision of the nation’s security architecture.
“I am saddened by reports of the brutal murder of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, who was abducted with her siblings and has been in the custody of the abductors.
“This is yet another reminder that kidnappers and bandits are operating unhindered in our country.
“The security architecture needs to be rejigged to the extent that it stems from the free rein of criminal elements and guarantees the safety of lives and property.
“The security agencies should step up action to rescue the rest who are still in the custody of the kidnappers”, he wrote.
Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and his six children were abducted by bandits in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory just over two weeks ago.
Similarly, the federal.lawmaker that represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly while reacting via his verified X account (formerly twitter), said the gruesome murder of Nabeeeha Al-kadriyar is a condemnable act of evil before our very eyes.
According to him, her death was an avoidable tragedy. Adding that the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
He maintained that the deterioration of security within the federal capital should be a matter of urgent concern to our security services. .
Sundiata Post recalls that Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar had six children total, including the deceased Nabeeha. On Saturday, she was buried following Islamic customs.
Nabeeha studied biological science at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), in Zaria, at the 400 level.
