Osogbo – The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Mr Najeem Salaam, has enjoined Christian faithful to use the Easter period to pray for peace, security and development of the country.
Salaam made the call in his Easter Message in Osogbo on Monday.
The speaker said the peaceful conduct and outcome of the March 28 Presidential/National Assembly elections indicated that God answers prayers.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Salaam said Christians should use the Easter period to pray again for abundant peace of God in the country.
The speaker also advised Christians to follow the example of Jesus Christ by showing love to others, irrespective of their religious background.
He said peaceful co-existence and love were paramount to the development of the nation and enjoined Christians to continue to appreciate the sacrifice Jesus made for the good of mankind. (NAN)
