Abuja (Sundiata Post) – A youth leader in Plateau State has expressed confidence that the ongoing food price hike will be addressed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying that the surge in price is as a result of the fuel subsidy removal.
The youth front man, Mainasara Shedrack said all the President needs is the support of the people to push through this temporary hardship which is unarguably taking a toll from the masses.
He said if the country pushes through this period, a prosperous nation will be born and Nigerians will be happy for it.
Shedrack stated this in Bokkos local government area of Plateau state recently during his goodwill speech when Senator Nora Daduut donated relief materials to victims of Plateau attacks.
The Youth leader who condemned the attacks that occurred in Bokkos ,Mangu and Barkin Ladi LGA, also expressed confidence that the Tinubu led administration will soon halt the incessant killings in the country as he has partnered with the state governors to establish state Police.
However, not forgetting the good works of the first Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu the youth scribe said he admired the bold steps taken by the President’s wife to address the challenges of crisis victims and food inflation in the country.
According to him: “Our First lady is doing well by empowering citizens in the country as well as putting into motion her pledge to support the cause of women through the launch of the “No Woman No Nation”, renewed hope, a women empowerment initiative.”
According to him “The zeal of our first lady to uplift women out of poverty can not be underestimated, the launch of her initiative underscores the importance of empowering our womenfolk as an integral part of President Tinubu’s economic policies.
“Her unwavering commitment to empowering women and youths, improving education, and promoting healthcare, among other vital issues, is truly commendable.
“Her passion for serving the people of Nigeria has been evident throughout her illustrious career, and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of the less privileged is a shining example of what we should all aspire to.
“As you all are aware Tinubu’s wife recently visited Plateau to condole with the people of the state and donated N500 million to reduce the challenges faced by victims of Plateau attacks”, he said.
Speaking further, Shedrack also commended Sen. Daduut who served in the 9th National Assembly for remembering the Victims of the attacks in three LGAs of the State.
