Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The federal government has countered the position of former Commandant, Defence Intelligence College, Abuja, Cdre. Kunle Olawunmi Rtd, saying that no ransom was paid for the freed Kuriga students.

Sundiata Post recalls that Cdre. Olawunmi Rtd, had on Monday, when he featured at Arise TV Morning Show programme, said that ransom was paid to secure the release of the Kaduna schoolchildren. He furrher stated that No governor in Nigeria apart from Zulum understands their role as governor, adding that they don’t know why they are the Chief Security Officer of a state.

He dared FG to take him on on the fact that ransom was paid to secure the release of schoolchildren.

However, the federal government, through the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, insisted that no ransom was paid for the release of the abducted school students from Kuriga, Kaduna State

Idris who stated this after the Federal Executive Council meeting, highlighted that the student’s release was deliberated during the FEC session, and the president has instructed that the culprits be apprehended and held accountable.
