The Truth Alliance, a coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society groups, has issued a call for concerted efforts to combat terrorism, insurgency, and violent extremism, aiming to prevent a recurrence of the Chibok Girls kidnapping tragedy perpetrated by Boko Haram terrorists a decade ago.
Led by Ahmed Mustapha, the alliance aims to shed light on the realities of life within extremist groups, exposing their tactics of deception and recruitment. The coalition commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Chibok Girls’ abduction, emphasizing the ongoing threat posed by violent extremist groups and urging collective action to prevent similar atrocities in the future.
As part of their campaign, they have released a compelling three-part audio series titled “Unveiling the Truth of Boko Haram,” featuring firsthand accounts of individuals impacted by the group’s atrocities.
This series aims to reveal the manipulation and destruction wrought by Boko Haram while urging vigilance and resistance against their ideology. The Truth Alliance is dedicated to uncovering the truth behind violent extremist groups and empowering communities to resist their influence through education and collaboration.
Their campaign, “Time to Tell the Truth,” seeks to expose the manipulation and weakness inherent in the movements and ideologies of such groups.
