NASARAWA EGGON (NASARAWA STATE) – The Minister of Information, Mrs. Patricia Akwashiki, has appealed to candidates contesting both governorship and house of assembly elections to accept the result in good faith.
She said they should accept it in the interest of peace and unity of the nation.
Akwashiki made the call on Saturday shortly after casting her vote at Angwar Akwashiki polling unit in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
“Accepting the result of the election in good faith by candidates and their supporters will go a long way in promoting peace, unity and progress of the state and the country at large,” she said
The minister stressed the need for Nigerians to become united after the election for the betterment of the society and the upcoming generations

She expressed satisfaction with peaceful conduct of the polls, adding that “this is a testimony that Nigerians have now understood the need for them to be their brothers’ keepers.
According to her, peace is a veritable tool to national development and that we should always strive to maintain it for the nation to move forward. (NAN)
