ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Alhaji Aminu Sani Jaji, a federal lawmaker from Zamfara State in Northwest of Nigeria is a personality God has separated for honour and for use to propagate His abiding love for mankind. Right from 2015 when Alhaji Sani shot into national political limelight, he has devoted himself to peace building and charity works not just within Zamfara and the Northwest but across the country.
Apart from distributing food items all over the six geophysical zones of the country, he has been severely involved in sponsorships of programmes aimed at promoting religious coexistence in this nation. He has also through his style of politics shown that it is possible to practise politics without rancour.
A well known cleric from the Southwest usually says that devil does not wage wars against a man without purpose and direction. So it’s not surprising that at every given opportunity, those who parade themselves as the political juggernauts of Zamfara State and the Northwest always raise attacks against him because Jaji is a man with purpose and direction.
He has built for himself a towering image through his philanthropic programmes that cut across educational scholarships, healthcare for the aged, provision of social amenities, donation of worship places, and of course food items and what have you for the good of humanity.
In this trying time of our country, Aminu Sani Jaji has aggressively been doing whatever humanly possible to provide succor for the masses especially the internally displaced persons, (IDPs) who have been traumatized by the prevailing hardships brought to the country as a result of insecurity and inflation.
These have indeed provoked unbearable envy from his detractors such that when he talks it is misinterpreted and if keeps silence it becomes their headaches. He is someone not given for too many words but a man who uses his energy and his youthfulness to champion the course of the downtrodden.
They were even insinuating that he was doing that because of his 2027 governorship ambition. What a laughable inference. So if Jaji has an ambition to run for the governorship of Zamfara come 2027, he will be wasting his energy fighting a drowning man who as an incumbent Governor lost an election to an opposition candidate instead of deploying his efforts towards unseating the current Governor who is at a disadvantage position being a member of a minority party in Zamfara State.
Ordinarily, the 2023 gubernatorial election would have been an easy ride for All Progressives Congress, (APC) if not for Matawalle’s maladministration in Zamfara State which turned the people against the ruling party.
It will make a better and resounding sense for Jaji to plot against the current Governor who is from the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) than fighting someone who was been rejected by Zamfara in 2023.
This shows how hollow their thoughts can be. They are just exhibiting their envy against a man who God has blessed with rare virtues. Those who claim they love Matawalle should better advise him to organize his defence over the case of the embezzlement of N70billion Zamfara State money and leave Jaji alone because Jaji is not his problem.
If God wants Jaji to emerge Governor of Zamfara State in 2027, the ranting of Matawalle and his agents will not stop it. And besides, 2027 is still too far and I believe Sani Jaji is preoccupied with the current position and the mandate of providing quality representations for the people of his constituency who elected him into the Federal House of Representatives.
He will just be clocking one year in June out of the four years he has to serve his people and the nation in the federal parliament so the journey to the Zamfara State Government House is not his preoccupation for now according to one of his close associates.
