Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
According to *Vanguard*, Ajaero was detained this morning at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as he was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.
Though the reasons for his arrest remain unclear, sources report that he has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
Ajaero was reportedly on his way to attend a Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK scheduled for today.
