Abuja (Sundiata Post) – All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo is coasting to victory in the Edo State governorship election as he has won 10 out of the 16 LGAs announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday.
According to the results from 16 out of 18 LGAs announced by the Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, APC is is leading by 244,549 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, follows with 195,954. The Labour Party, LP, is third with 13,348 votes.
This comes as INEC suspended collation. The exercise will resume by 5:00 pm.
