Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Alaba International Market in Lagos has demonstrated interest to partner with the Management Board, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, on the forthcoming Commercial and Industrial Trade Fair 2024, scheduled to hold in November.
The aim, according to a statement sent to our correspondent, is to strengthen business ties and explore opportunities that will in turn boost economic activities and improve the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Speaking on Monday, during a courtesy visit paid to the Executive Director (ED), Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Barr. Vera Ndanusa, leader of Alaba Market, said the collaboration is imperative as it will promote Lagos as a premier destination for trade and investment in Africa.
Led by President of the Market, Dr. Camilus Amajuoyi, said traders will leverage the Fair to boost local products and expand Nigeria’s trade footprint on a global scale.
“Our market has always been a hub for business excellence, and by aligning ourselves with the Lagos Fair, we are not only strengthening our business community but also contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s economy,” he said.
Responding, Ndanusa lauded the long-standing partnership between Alaba International Market and the Trade Fair Complex, saying that the partnership would play a significant role in ensuring the success of the Fair.
“This partnership signifies a mutual dedication to making the event a milestone in Africa’s trade and industrial development.
“The upcoming fair is expected to attract key stakeholders, exhibitors, and visitors from across the globe, making it a prime platform for business networking, product showcases, and industrial collaboration”, Ndanusa said.
