The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled its South-East National Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa, following allegations of anti-party activities.
The decision was finalized by Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after a disciplinary process.
Odefa was initially suspended on September 11, 2024, leading to a Federal High Court ruling on November 29, which upheld the suspension. This cleared the way for the PDP to proceed with its final decision.
The ward’s disciplinary committee reviewed the accusations and recommended expulsion, a move that was later endorsed by the party’s executive committee on December 11, 2024. The decision aligns with the provisions of the PDP constitution.
As a result, Odefa’s membership in the party has been officially terminated. Further details on the situation are expected to emerge.
