The signing ceremony, held at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

According to the governor, the 2025 budget prioritises key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety, reflecting his administration’s commitment to advancing the state’s socioeconomic landscape.

“The budget lays emphasis on execution and acceleration. It represents our dedication to investing in schools, supporting healthcare systems, and constructing essential infrastructure, including roads and bridges, to enhance the economic well-being of our people,” Soludo said.

He noted that the budget received overwhelming support from the state legislature, further underscoring its significance in addressing the needs of Anambra residents.

The governor stressed the importance of ensuring full implementation of the budget to achieve the intended goals.

“As the state moves forward with implementing the budget, emphasis will be placed on deliverable mechanisms to guarantee its success,” the statement read.

Ministries, departments, and agencies have been urged to commence rolling out programmes and initiatives that align with the budget’s objectives to fulfill the promises made during its planning.

During the signing ceremony, Soludo expressed gratitude to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, and other legislators for their dedication and bipartisan support. He encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate to successfully execute the budget.
