All civil servants and pensioners in Rivers State will receive a Christmas bonus of ₦100,000 from Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
This decision was made public in a statement issued by the Head of Service, George Nwaeke, on Tuesday.
This is the second consecutive year that civil servants in Rivers will receive a ₦100,000 bonus, a figure higher than the country’s minimum wage.
The bonus aims to help workers and retirees enjoy a more comfortable holiday season.
In his Christmas message, Governor Fubara called on the people of Rivers State to promote peace, unity, and love throughout the festive period and into the new year.
He also reassured residents that 2025 would bring new opportunities for growth and fulfillment despite the current economic challenges.
