ENUGU – The Enugu State League finals between Purple Krown FC and Farmers Best Friends (FBF) FC will now be played on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The match, originally scheduled for April 26, was postponed indefinitely to pave the way for the premier league match between Rangers FC of Enugu and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
The Secretary of the state football association, Mr Francis Ugwu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday that the match would not be shifted again.
“We would have forgotten about the state league if not that the Rangers played the El-Kanemi Warriors in Enugu on April 26.

“We do not want anything to affect the final and that is why we picked Saturday which is free of sporting activities in the state,” he said.
Ugwu said that the third-place match between Magic FC of Uwani and Junior Rangers FC would precede the final the same day.
He called on football lovers in the state to come out en mass and make the final a colourful occasion.
