ABUJA – The police on Friday arraigned a 30-year-old man, Olaide Agbaje of Anthony Enahoro St. Utako, Abuja, in a Grade 1 Area Court, Kado, Abuja, for alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating.
The prosecutor, Insp. Simon Ibrahim, told the court that one Olayemi Adesanya, reported the matter at the Utako Police Station, Abuja, on April 15.
Ibrahim told the court that Adesanya paid the sum of N850, 000 for the boys’ quarters apartment of the accused person’s house.
He alleged that the said money was paid to the accused and his mother, who is now at large.
He said that the accused criminally and dishonestly rented the same apartment to another tenant who is currently occupying the apartment.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.
The accused, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, also denied knowing the complainant.
The Judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 and a surety in like sum.
Sadiq said the surety must be a Grade Level 07 officer in the Federal Civil Service and adjourned the case till May 14 for further hearing. (NAN)
