ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The head of the incoming government’s Transition Committee, Alhaji Ahmed Joda, has denied any rift with the Federal Government’s Transition Committee ahead of May 29 handover to a new administration.
Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the end of the joint committee’s meeting presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, he assured that his committee was getting all the necessary cooperation from the outgoing government.
While stressing that the two committees were operating on the same page, he dismissed the claims that the Presidency was not co-operating with his committee to ensure a smooth transition.
He said: “Our committee has never said to anybody that there is no cooperation, we have never said that and we are waiting for the reports, until when they come.”
