KANO – The police in Kano State have arrested six suspects in connection with the stabbing of two pupils of Fagge Special Primary school in Kano on Wednesday.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Majiya disclosed this in Kano on Monday while briefing newsmen on its activities.
Majiya said the suspects were apprehended last week following a tip-off, adding that they were now assisting the police in its investigation.
He said as soon as investigation was concluded, the suspects would be charged to court.
The police spokesman said one of the victims was still receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Majiya disclosed that the police had arrested a staff of the state Fire Service for allegedly conniving with a colleague to kidnap and rape an eight-year-old girl.

‘’The suspects later called her parents to demand for N1 million ransom before she could be released.
‘’The girl has since been treated at the hospital and reunited with her parents while effort was still being made to track down the fleeing suspect,’’ Majiya said.
Similarly, he said the police had arrested a woman who stole a baby at Gwarzo General Hospital on May 20.
He said as soon as investigation was completed, the suspect would be charged to court. (NAN)
