SOKOTO – A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Sokoto State, Alhaji Muktari Mapia, on Saturday commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for directing military headquarters to Maiduguri to confront Boko Haram insurgency.
Mapia, who made the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto, said that laying emphasis on security matters had given hope to Nigerians.
He said that the decision to relocate the military centre to Maiduguri showed the seriousness of the president to end the senseless killings of innocent Nigerians.

He said that the military high command in Maiduguri would ensure prompt security measures to identify those involved in the deadly act.
He expressed confidence that the present administration would tackle Boko Haram insurgency and other security challenges.
Mapia called on Nigerians to support and offer useful advises that would ensure good democratic governance.
“Nigerians must be prayerful and patient with the present administration as it confronts the challenges facing the country in all sectors,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the country under Buhari would meet the expectations of the citizens by ensuring good democratic governance. (NAN)
