The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the National Assembly/State House Assembly Election Petition Tribunal had been split into the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
NAN also reports that one of the panels is sitting at the Federal High Court, Jabi; one at the court of Appeal complex while the third is sitting at the premises of High Court, Apo.
Gumba said that his tribunal would be diligent in the handling the petitions before it throughout the three-month duration of its sitting.
“Diligence is essential; we are going to be diligent with our work; we need your cooperation so that we can have a successful conclusion.
“Give us your maximum assistance; election tribunal is a very technical area of law,’’ the chairman said.
Gumba also promised to be fair in all the issues before the tribunal.
Responding, one of the lawyers, Mr Ifedayo Adedipe, SAN, thanked the chairman for extending the hand of fellowship to the lawyers.
