Lagos – Forty-seven ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa and TinCan Island Ports in Lagos from July 31 to Aug. 19, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Fifteen of the expected ships would arrive with containers, 10 would sail in with petroleum products, while seven others are expected with buck wheat, the NPA said on Thursday in Lagos.
It said other ships would arrive with general cargo, palm olein, bulk malt, repaired vessel, truck heads, soda ash, bulk petcoke and bulk gypsum.

“Other expected ships contain buck wheat, diesel, bulk rice and steel products.
“Ten other ships have arrived at the ports waiting to discharge petrol, aviation fuel, base oil, petrol and frozen fish,’’ the NPA said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 16 other ships at the ports are discharging buck wheat, general cargo, bulk fertiliser, containers, bulk sugar, bulk gypsum, petrol and gasoline. (NAN)
