By NAN The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) in Kebbi on Monday extended its immunisation against meningitis for three days.
Mrs Deborah Joe, the Sensitisation Officer, State Health Care Development Agency, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi that the extension was to ensure full coverage.
“The extension is to ensure adequate coverage of the targeted beneficiaries and as well to prevent outbreak of the disease,’’ she said.
Joe said that the exercise was targeted at the individual between one and 29 years, who were most vulnerable to the disease.
The coordinator commended the contributions of UNICEF, state and local government areas for supporting the exercise.
