Lagos – The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) on Wednesday unveiled a 12-man boxing team to represent the country at the 11th All Africa Games (AAG).
The Games are scheduled to run from Sept. 4 to Sept. 19, in Congo, Brazzaville.
They are made up of 10 male and two female boxers. The team would be accompanied by four coaches.
They are Muyideen Oyakojo (49kg), Taiwo Abiodun (52kg), Sanusi Abiodun (56kg), Rilwan Oladosu (60kg), Shogbanmu Waheed (64kg), Korede Adeniyi (75kg) and Ademuyiwa Kehinde (79kg).
Other are; Danuloko Ekele (81kg), Efetobor Apochi (91kg) and Efe Ajagba (+ 91kg).
The female boxers are Caroline Linus (51 kg) and Ogoke Agu (75kg).
Adura Olalehin, an assistant coach to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the federation would be expecting two foreign-based boxers to join the team.
He said before the final selections, all the boxers in the camp were given equal opportunity to prove themselves through the various trials organised by the federation.

Olalehin said with the high spirit and commitment of the boxers, the federation was sure that they would perform well to win gold medals at the competition.
NAN reports that 26 boxers were initially invited to camp in Lagos to prepare for the Games. (NAN)
