ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described the late Emir of Misau, Alhaji Muhammadu Manga, as a leader of rare humility whose contributions to peaceful coexistence would continue to be appreciated even in death.
In a statement issued on his behalf in Abuja and released by his media office, the former Vice President said he was deeply touched by the passing of “such elderly gentleman”.
Atiku said from his own personal experience with the late Emir, humility was one of his outstanding virtues.
The former Vice President said the late Emir had a rare record of eating together at the same table with his ordinary subjects; a virtue he said made the Emir a remarkable leader among his people.
He condoled with the family of the deceased, the people and the government of Bauchi State, and prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal peace.
