Without the islands, `the full decolonisation of Africa is not complete,’ said Southern African Development Community in statement issued after a summit of its Heads of State concluded in Gaborone in Tuesday.
Chagos archipelago, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean, was hived off Mauritius in the run-up to independence in 1965.
Mauritius has continued to claim its sovereignty over the islands. (Xinhua/NAN)
