ABUJA – Mrs. Margaret Emefiele, wife of the Governor of the Central Bank has being rescued barely 24 hours after her abduction.
She was abducted on Friday along Benin-Agbor road and the abductors immediately demanded a ransom of N100 million.
But, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, immediately deployed the Intelligence Response Team and crack of detectives under his office to track down the adductors down and rescue Mrs. Emefiele.
Prompt News Online gathered that she was rescued from her abductors by a combined team of security agencies including the military.
She has now been moved to Asaba, Delta State and will reunite with her husband, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, any moment.
However, as at the time of filling this report, it could not be ascertained if ransom was actually paid as demanded. (Prompt News)
