ABUJA – Dr Uchechukwu Ogah, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant for Abia, has promised to attract foreign investors to the state if elected as governor in 2015.
He made the promise after submitting his nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the election at the party`s headquarters on Friday in Abuja.
The aspirant, who is the President of Masters Energy Group, said his aspiration to contest the state`s governorship seat was inspired by God.
“I am deeply convinced beyond all human doubt that mine is a divine covenant and a sacred assignment to be used as an agent of unprecedented transformation in Abia.
“Indeed I feel the passion of my mission in every fibre of my being to use all my mental, spiritual, physical, financial, material, professional and total endowments and resources to transform the state.
Ogah promised to transform the state into a flourishing land where joy would mix with pride in the hearts and on the faces of the people of the state if elected.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alhaji Mohammed Belgore was also at the PDP national headquarters to submit his forms for Kwara governorship seat in 2015.
He said he represented the Kwara agenda, not a sectional agenda and urged politicians in the state to put its interest and that of its people first.
Alhaji Lawal Abudulahi, a governorship aspirant for Kaduna State, was also at the party headquarters to submit his forms.
Sen. Chris Anyanwu, (PDP-Imo), a governorship aspirant for the state also submitted her forms.
She added that if elected as the state`s next governor, she would drive more democracy dividends to the people of her senatorial district and the state generally.
Anyanwu, who is also the Managing Director of Hot FM Radio station, said it was time to have a female governor in the state for a change.
Alhaji Sagir Hamidu was also at the PDP headquarters to submit forms for Zamfara governorship election.
The aspirant promised to ensure a transparent and accountable government if he emerged as the state`s next governor.
He added that Zamfara was naturally blessed with lots of mineral resources, which if utilised effectively, would take the state out of poverty.
