Abia leads in new COVID-19 cases as Lagos infection rate reduces

ABUJA (SundiataPost) – The upsurge in COVID-19 cases in the South-East continued on Sunday with Abia State having the highest number of new cases according to the update released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Lagos, on the hand, for the second day, witnessed reduced increase in new cases.
Out of the 260 new cases, Abia State reported 67, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 40 new confirmed cases.
Lagos followed closely with 38 new infections.
