ABUJA – Mr Tony Ejinkonye, the President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (ABUCCI), on Thursday said the association targeted 150 companies to participate in its trade fair.
Ejinkonye, who said this at a news conference in Abuja, added that this year’s edition would be the 10th time the chamber was hosting a fair in the Federal Capital Territory.
He gave the theme of this year’s trade fair as “Entrepreneurship as a panacea for economic growth’’.
He explained that the 2014 edition attracted more than 55 companies, including foreign firms from Egypt, Taiwan, Ghana, Senegal, Niger, Benin, Philippines, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
Ejinkonye said that the chamber would strive to ensure that the fair recorded better successes than the previous editions.
He said that the ABUCCI 10th trade fair would help to promote accelerated development of commerce and industry in the country.

According to him, the fair, slated for October in Abuja, will help to revitalise and diversify the county’s economy from the oil to non-oil sector.
He urged the Federal Government to provide adequate facilities that would attract both local and foreign investors to invest in the country. (NAN)
