Abuja – A Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, on Monday granted a N500, 000 bail to a man, Hassan Musa, who allegedly broke into a shop and stole items worth N3 million.
The Senior Magistrate, Aminu Eri, who gave the ruling, also granted him two sureties in like sum.
Musa, whose address is unknown, is facing a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, store-breaking and theft.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Francis Tanko, told the court that the complainant, Obinna Chukwu of Wuse Market had on Aug. 30 reported the incident at Maitama Police Area Command.
According to him, the accused with three others still at large broke into the complainant’s shop and stole items valued at N3 million.
Among the items stolen are packs of T-shirts, suits, shoes, chinos trousers, long- sleeve shirts and polo shirts.
The offences contravened Sections 97, 288 and 353 of the Penal Code, Laws of the Federation.
Further hearing in the case has been adjourned to Nov. 10. (NAN)
