Access Bank is set to honour exceptional women at its International Women’s Day (IWD) Conference on March 28, 2025, as part of its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The event will recognize Power of 100 awardees, women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact across various industries in Africa.
The Power of 100 initiative is an extension of Access Bank’s ongoing efforts to support women breaking barriers, driving change, and creating opportunities for others. This aligns with this year’s IWD theme: Accelerate Action.
Chizoma Okoli, Deputy Managing Director of Access Bank, emphasized the bank’s dedication to fostering female leadership. “At Access Bank, we believe in the power of women to drive progress and transformation in society. The Power of 100 awardees are trailblazers whose resilience and dedication inspire the next generation of female leaders. We are honoured to celebrate them at this year’s International Women’s Day Conference.”
Nene Kunle-Ogunlusi, Head of Women Banking, added that the event will feature panel discussions, keynote speeches from industry leaders, networking sessions, and an awards ceremony to highlight the achievements of the Power of 100 recipients. “This conference will serve as a platform to encourage dialogue on gender inclusion, leadership, and economic empowerment for women. Through our flagship ‘W’ Initiative, we continue to champion financial inclusion, capacity building, and business growth for women across Africa,” she stated.
Access Bank remains committed to creating an enabling environment for women to thrive, leveraging its global network of over 700 branches across Africa, Europe, and Asia to drive financial inclusion and social impact.
