ACPN Candidate, Ojiba Congratulates Obiano, Urges Others To Put Anambra First

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) candidate in the just concluded Anambra governorship election, Comrade Akunwata Ojiba has congratulated Chief Willie Obiano on his victory at the polls.

Comrade Ojiba, who congratulated the Governor via a telephone call shortly after he was declared winner, called on other 35 contestants, to put their defeat behind and rally round Obiano to move Anambra forward.

 He made the call on Monday in a statement signed by the Head of his Media Directorate, Comrade James Ezema made available to Sundiata Post.

 The ACPN governorship candidate, who informed that future of Anambra and all Anambrarians remains greater than the ambition of any individual, reminded that it is time to agree and work together.

The statement reads in part:

“The election has been won and lost and we all should embrace each other as we have done all through the electioneering process that now produces Governor Willie Obiano as the winner.

“It is time to sustain the peace we all have enjoyed uptil now. It was believed that the Anambra State governorship election was going to be bloody, but by the grace of God and the efforts of all security agencies, we had a peaceful election. All thanks to Anambra people who chose to remain peaceful all through the process.

“I had to call and congratulate the winner last night because it is neither by power nor by might. Anambra people have spoken and the state must move forward”, he told newsmen in Akwa.
