Lagos – An activist, Mr Amos Igun, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the President Muhammadu Buhari administration as it works diligently to turn around the fortunes of the country
Igun said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos while appraising the performance of the administration in the last one year.
According to him, it will be too soon to assess the performance of the current administration after just one year in office.
“I will plead that Nigerians should exercise patience a bit for him, for this is a country that has been destroyed for good sixteen years.
“Now, he has come and under one year and people have started complaining? Why don’t we exercise patience and suffer this pain.
“We know a lot will change after this first four years.”
Igun said although the process of change would inflict pains on citizens and at the same time demand personal sacrifices from Nigerians, it is in line with the saying: “no pain, no gain”.
“I’m so sure of that. So, we should have patience; we should allow him to do what he has to do for Nigeria,’’ he said.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to make meaningful contributions towards the realisation of the change agenda of his administration. (NAN)
