Abuja- The Alliance for Democracy (AD) on Wednesday denied dragging the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) to court over the use of card reader for the forthcoming general elections.
The party’s National Secretary, Mr Rafiu Salau, made the denial in a statement released to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.
The statement said that all AD members involved in the court case would be presented for expulsion from the party.
“The party is not part of the political parties that took INEC to court on the use of card reader for the general elections. The party is not the property of an individual.

“As the National Secretary of the party, I must be aware of such a decision if it is taken in the normal process because I am to invite the stakeholders for the deliberation on the issue for a decision of the party.
“The AD members who were involved in the court case will be presented for an expulsion from the party,’’ Salau said.
Salau, who is also the party presidential candidate in the upcoming election, said that going to the court at this crucial moment in the nation’s electoral life was an attempt to deny the populace the opportunity to elect their leaders within the period allowed by the law. (NAN)
