The import of the deal is that the 2015 choice perhaps may have been narrowed to Ribadu, who readily accepted to withdraw from the race. To sweeten the deal, Ribadu, according to sources, was instantly drafted to the planned President Jonathan’s campaign team for 2015.
Also, to encourage others to withdraw, the party cautioned that whoever insists on participating in today’s primary may not find a congenial space to participate in the next party primaries for the 2015, which will run from October to November.
